Our Story

Yarn of Eden has been owned and operated by Kathleen Gedeon since May 2013. She is passionate about fiber arts and loves to share her passion with her customers. Kathleen had a long career as a flight attendant before she retired. So she has lots of experiencekeeping her customers happy and satisfied. She works very hard to make sure you feel at home and welcomed in her shop. If you need help with a project or need ideas on where to start she will gladly offer her advice and years of experience.

Maureen takes care of the shop on Mondays. She has been a Yarn of Eden customer since we first opened and now a member of our staff. She has been crocheting and knitting for 3 years, She is happy to use her knowledge of yarn and its craft to help you make the perfect selection for your project.

Patricia joined our staff last year when we moved to our larger location. She is caretaker of the shop on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Patricia learned to play with yarn at 10 years old when her grandmother taught her both knitting and crocheting in Spanish. Over the years she learned to translate all that into a sock knitting passion. You will find her participating every year in Sock Madness and Tour de Sock on Ravelry. Stop in and she will gladly share the wonders of Ravelry with you.

Karen cares for the shop on Fridays when she is not busy with her new grandson! Her years of knitting expertise is a valuable resource and we are very happy to have her. She and her lifelong friend Cheryl started meeting at Yarn of Eden for knit time together and now I won't let either of them leave. Many of our shop samples were knit by Karen.
